Chez Monsieur

(Royal Madeleine)

Chez Monsieur (Royal Madeleine), is a chic and lively French bistro located between place de la Madeleine and place de la Concorde at the heart of Paris elegant “Right Bank”.

Our street has been recently renamed from Richepanse to Chevalier Saint George but our restaurant has a history that spans about a hundred years.

Our clientele chooses our place for the classic French cuisine based on seasonal produces: from fresh frogs legs Provençale style, to escargots in garlic butter, onion soup gratinée, sole meuniere, veal sweet bread, French « blanquette » (veal stew), profiteroles homemade everyday and the exceptional « crêpes sautées Suzette ».

Our extensive wine list shows our fondness for great French wines especially from La Bourgogne, Bordeaux, La Loire and Le Rhône.

We’ll be delighted to welcome you any day of the week (we are open 7/7) for Lunch (from 12:00pm to 2:30pm) or diner (from 7:00pm to 10:30pm).

Denis Jamet & Carole Colin

RESTAURANT OWNERS

Equal parts Italian and Breton, Denis is a true epicure.  In 2002, he opened Chez Monsieur (Royal Madeleine)  to share his passion for food and wine.

Carole, our Executive Director, is 100% breton but Parisian by adoption. She began her career with Guy Savoy, Michel Rostang and Manuel Martinez, among others.

Carole managed our bistrot with passion since 2004 until the opening of our one Michelin Star restaurant "Les Climats" in 2013 on the left bank.

Nowadays, it's easier to find her there.

Arriving in 2009 to work with her sister Carole, Elodie gained experience under the Michel Rostang group at “Dessirier” then participated in the opening of Thierry Marx’s Camélia at the Mandarin Oriental. She became in charge of Chez Monsieur in 2012.

 

 

Carlos has been Carole's right hand at Les CLIMATS for 2 years, before moving to Chez Monsieur in the fall of 2016.

In the dining room, we are busy, but we don’t forget to joke around, for an attentive but relaxed service, don’t hesitate to ask questions, we have an opinion about everything!

The chef ADRIEN MANAC'H

Adrien Manac'h, our head chef, is from Brittany. He started his career with one of the great truffle master Jean-Luc Barnabet in Auxerre. Then he made his way to Paris at « La Grande Cascade » , and managed for 4 years the kitchen of "Le Cristal Room Baccarat », with superchef Guy Martin. He then moved to take over the kitchens of Château de Haute Serre gastronomic restaurant in Cieurac in Lot-et-Garonne. He set his knife case Chez Monsieur in April 2017.

In our kitchen, the team starts early in a very focused but joyful atmosphere. The Chefis busy organizing the work of all, around the fresh produces arrived very early in the morning so that everything will be ready for the first clients at 12:00pm sharp. The last cook will leave at 12:00am.
